June, 2021
Dear Russian River Car Show Participant,
What a year it’s been! And I don’t know about you, but I’m not so sure we’re out of the woods just yet! With health experts talking about COVID -19 strains in the U.K., South African, Brazilian and California, who can predict what the future holds.
Myself, along with my car buddies are itching to get out and blow out the pipes. So many local car shows have already been cancelled for the spring. My hope is with the advances with vaccine distribution that we’ll be in a better place this summer. Our sponsors however, not so much. Those folks who supported the Russian River Car Show, the small businesses and local eateries are hurting. I don’t have the heart to ask them to sponsor a trophy. Don’t get me wrong we still want to do the car show, however, it may look a bit different this time. So speaking of getting out of the woods, our friends at Northwood have agreed to welcome the car show to the Northwood Commons on August 21st. Instead of a pancake breakfast, the merchants of Northwood invite you to enjoy coffee and baked delights at Bia Café, or full breakfast or lunch at Northwood Restaurant. The Casa Secoya Lodge has available rooms for overnight guests, but be sure to make reservations in advance.
You will find a link to the event registration form on the event page link above. We won’t be charging an entry fee this year, however the entry form gives us an idea of attendance numbers. T-shirts will be available by presale on the registration form. This will be our first time at Northwood, please be patient during morning staging, respect current CDC guidelines and lets all have a great post pandemic reunion of old friends and old cars.
We look forward to seeing you!
