Cazadero History Learning Center
The Cazadero Community History Learning Center is a welcoming hub where residents, students, and visitors can explore the people and places that shaped this corner of the Russian River watershed. Through rotating exhibits, digitized archives, and hands-on programs, the Center highlights Indigenous roots, early homesteads, the timber and rail eras, flood and fire resiliency, and the everyday life of a small mountain town. Volunteers collect oral histories, protect, preserve and present photographs and artifacts, and partner with local schools to bring history into the classroom. Whether you’re researching a family, tracing a property’s past, or simply curious about Cazadero’s stories, the Learning Center offers guided assistance, and community events that keep our shared heritage alive—and invite everyone to help steward it for the next generation.
