Exhibits

Russian River Historical Society exhibits are how we bring the Russian River’s past out of the archive and into the community—turning photographs, maps, documents, and artifacts into stories you can see and explore.

Our displays highlight the themes that shaped the lower river: Indigenous history, logging and railroads, resort-era summers, floods and rebuilds, local businesses, schools, and everyday life in the towns and “parks” along the river.

Exhibits may be presented in local venues, community events, or online, and they often change over time as new materials are donated, identified, and digitized—so each exhibit becomes both a snapshot of history and an invitation for the public to help fill in the details.
