Grants

2025 – CA State Library
The Russian River Historical Society received a Grant from CA State Library for $25,000 to digitize, document, and present the Russian River community response to the HIV/AIDS epidemic in the 1980s and 1990s. 

2019 – Russian River Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence
The Russian River Historical Society received a Grant from the Russian River Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence for $1,500 for the Wonderland Radio Hour on April 19, 2019.

2018 – Russian River Community Trust Fund of The Community Foundation, Sonoma County
The Russian River Historical Society received a Grant of $900 for The Wonderland Radio Hour. Russian River Historical Society is the fiscal agent.

2018 – Russian River Rotary Club Community Grants Program
The Russian River Historical Society received a Grant of $250 from the Russian River Rotary Club Community Grants Program on May 14, 2018.

2017 – Russian River Rotary Club Community Grants Program
The Russian River Historical Society received a Grant of $500 from the Russian River Rotary Club for the preservation of the non-endowed Guerneville Pioneer Cemetery. The Awards Dinner will be held on Tuesday, April 11, 2017.

2017 – Russian River Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence
The Russian River Historical Society received a Grant from the Russian River Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence for the preservation of the non-endowed Guerneville Pioneer Cemetery. The Awards Dinner will be held on Friday, April 14, 2017.

August, 2007 – Community Foundation Sonoma County
The Russian River Historical Society received a Grant of $5,000 from the Community Foundation Sonoma County and was made possible by the Russian River Community Trust. The grant was used to purchase a new computer, and relevant software to catalogue and coordinate historical acquisitions.


Awards

On March 12, 2023, Roberto Esteves (Archive volunteer and RR Historical Society member) received the 2022 Collections and Archives Recognition Award from the Sonoma County Historical Records Commission at the Sonoma County Historical Society Luncheon. The presenter is Margie Purser, Chair, Sonoma County Historical Records Commission. Also in attendance Jane Barry (President Russian River Historical Society), Chris Pattillo (VP RR Historical Society), and Fran Levy (RR Historical Society member and Archive Volunteer) KUDOS ROBERTO! Well deserved!
