Monte Rio Revival
Friday, June 5th from 5-9pm
Join us on Friday, June 5th from 5-9pm for a free, family-friendly celebration of the legacy and future of Monte Rio’s unique historic downtown, once home to a bustling train station, an eight-story hotel, and dozens of local businesses.
Inspired by the magic of last October’s inaugural event, we’re kicking off this season with a local art market featuring returning vendors and special newcomers, local food, live music with some of the best acts from the Monte Rio Theater Open Mic, and large-scale historic photos displayed throughout the downtown. Archival photos and videos will be projected in a special downtown location, and the doors of the Russian River Historical Society and Monte Rio Fire Station will be open for visitors to tour during the special event. Opportunities to volunteer for cleanup and continued revitalization of the historic downtown will take place on Saturday May 9th from 9am-11am. Join us and be part of the revival!
The Monte Rio Revival is made possible in collaboration with many local organizations including Friends of Monte Rio and the Russian River Historical Society, and is funded, in part, by the Sonoma County Board of Supervisors. A second Monte Rio Revival is planned for Friday, October 2nd.
